Parents & Guardians

If you are a parent of a child at NMPS there are so many opportunities to participate in the school program with your child. You can participate on:

  • Excursions
  • interschool sports days
  • swimming lessons
  • reading in class

You may have special skills, interests, hobbies, professions that you can share with the school.
Make contact by emailing a particular teacher at our school please provide their name in the subject line and send to:
north.melbourne.ps@education.vic.gov.au please add "Volunteering" to the subject box.

Also contact your classroom teacher directly to express your interest in volunteering.

Non-Parent Volunteers

We have regular ‘non-parents’ who help and are valued as part of our school. These wonderful people are retirees, grandparents, locals, tertiary students who have wonderful things to offer our students.

The necessary Working with Children's Check is an easy online process. Once you have a Volunteer Working with Children Check, which can also be obtained at the Post Office, you can offer your support in many ways across the school. Contact us on: north.melbourne.ps@education.vic.gov.au to express your interest.
