North Melbourne Primary School uses Apple technology throughout Prep – Year 6.
Our students use iPads to support and enhance their learning experiences. In years Prep to Year 2, the school leases iPads for shared classroom use. In Year 3-6, students have the option to bring an iPad from home to use at school, or can lease an iPad from the school to use. In 2024, the lease cost is $160 per year.
iPad Program Minimum Specifications
- iPad 8 or newer (capable of running IOS 17+)
- 64GB+ storage
- Note: the iPad mini is not recommended by DET as the screen is too small to be used for NAPLAN online testing.
- Headphones
- Keyboard & stylus – optional (some families prefer their child to use a physical keyboard).
