Introduction to new staff

Picture1
Picture2

We’d like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves to the NMPS community as Leading Teachers/Acting Assistant Principals for Curriculum and Learning.

My name is Sarah Nightingale. I have taught at Flemington Primary School across Foundation to Year 6 and most recently been the Leading Teacher for Curriculum and Learning, working with staff in Professional Learning Teams. I look forward to working with the staff, students and community at NMPS.

My name is Bobbie Cameron and I have been teaching since 2008. I have taught at a number of schools in the Western Metropolitan Region, and have been at Carlton Gardens Primary School for the past five years. I spent the last three years there as a Leading Teacher/Acting Assistant Principal. I am looking forward to joining the NMPS team!

All resources will be available for students keen to show off their artistic and multimedia skills. We also will have our Italian language assistant, Sara, available to help students with their written Italian and creativity.

Starting this Friday 28 July, come into the Italian learning space when the lunch bell goesand after eating lunch.

Spring Holiday Program Important Dates

At Biz – E – Kidz we are already planning and looking forward to the next holidays.

Some important dates to note are:

· Monday 25th September – Monday 9th October: Holiday program dates including pupil free day
· Tuesday 22nd August: The spring Holiday program plan and booking form is released and will be available at Biz – E – Kidz and in the Newsletter
· Monday 28th August: Holiday program bookings open and can be made by handing a booking form to Sharon, Ace, Eva or Kelly at Biz – E – Kidz
· Friday 1st September: Spring holiday program bookings close. Bookings can still be made afterwards, but will not be eligible to be included in the first ‘priority of access’ round
· Week beginning 4th September: Families will be notified of a place in the program or on the waiting list and deposit due via mail.
· Friday 15th September: Holiday program deposit and booking changes due any charges made after this date will incur a $30 per child per day booking change fee.

Fee Increase

A reminder to families that there will be a fee increase for both the Biz - E - Kidz before and aftercare programs. Before school care will now be $8.00 per session and aftercare $17.00 per session. Biz - E - Kidz has timed this increase to occur following the annual increase to Child care benefits to minimise impact on families.

Things To Do

Williamstown Baseball Club is holding another Come and Try Day to attract new juniors wishing to try baseball or tee-ball. This is for boys and girls between 4 and 17 years of age. If you can let your friends know and encourage them to join that would be great. The more juniors we can get the better the club will be.

If you as an existing player are available and could come down to Greenwich and assist that would also be of great assistance. Just come down and play catch with the new juniors.

Come and Try Day is this Saturday 29th July 2017 Greenwich Reserve 10am to 12noon. See the flyer above for more details.
